Have you been wondering about doing a detox? I have a suspicion that you are, because I am getting so many questions about detoxing in my office! I have to admit…I love how motivated everyone is to be healthy!
Even if doing a detox sounds like a great idea, you might have hesitations. And you know what? I totally support that because you shouldn’t jump into detoxing without guidance, especially if you had cancer. I know that more than once I have signed up for a detox and then backed out because I was worried about:
- It being too hard
- Feeling gross
That’s why I put together a detox series to help you out. I want you to be able to do a detox that is so simple you don’t even have to change your daily routine! You can do these practices no matter what your health concerns are (even while on chemo).
And you can start right now! During one of our most toxic times of the year. Admit it, you might have had a little more sugar, dairy, wheat and alcohol than usual 😉
So what will we cover in the Detox the Holidays series?
- Recipes! (mocktails anyone?)
- Stress release strategies
- Easy detox baths & teas
- Daily detox practices that you can start now (you’ll be shocked how easy they are!)
Doing Detox the Holidays practices you can feel
- Calm & Relaxed
Want to get started right now? Here’s one of my top detoxification tips…BREATHE! Sounds funny, right?!? But did you know that breathing is one of the main ways we expel toxins from the body? And the funny thing is that as stress builds up, we tend to hold our breath. A double whammy! So right now, take a moment to close your eyes. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. See if each inhale and exhale can last at least 6 seconds. Try doing this just 3 times! Let me know how you feel afterwards by adding a reply below 🙂
Cheers to a healthy & happy holiday season!
